Welcome to the All Lovely Things Book Giveaway!
Hosted by: A Fulfilled Mommy
Spring is a time of cleaning and purging. If you think about it, cleaning out our homes is a way of healing the soul and mind. I don't know about you, but every time I clean out certain items, there can sometimes be an emotional attachment or memory to that item. Baby clothes, a souvenir, a piece of jewelry, etc. Though these items may need to go onto a home where they will be used, it once served a purpose in our lives.
Last year, I started the 40 Bags in 40 Days Challenge. This year, I am doing a scaled down version of it since we only moved six months ago. I did such a huge purge before we moved and we've done well not replacing those items. However, there's still things that need to go. Outgrown toys, clothes that my youngest son has outgrown, etc. This is where Lea Redmond's new book All Lovely Things: A Field Journal for the Objects that Define Us comes in handy!
I love the spaces provided to journal in this workbook. I can jot down memories and drawings associated with items that I think I'm going to be getting rid of. Even if an item has a memory attached to it, I don't necessarily need to keep it in my own if we are no longer using it. The workbook is a great way of figuring out a part of who I am. Why do I love this item? How is it a part of me?
All Lovely Things: A Field Journal for the Objects that Define Us is available for purchase at Leafcutter Designs and on Amazon.com.
